Two civilians killed as Alshabab and Amisom clash.
Mogadishu (Alshahid) – At least two civilian were killed while 5 others were wounded Wednesday following fierce gunfight between Alshabab and African Union troops in Mogadishu.
The epicenter of the gun battle was around Kulliyada building, a base for the Burundian forces in Mogadishu
This latest attack by Alshabab comes barely three days after they claimed responsibility over Sunday’s Kampala attack.
Uganda and Burundi are the only countries to have deployed their troops to Somalia in a bid to strengthen the weak Transitional government. However, the 15th edition of IGAD meeting held in Addis Ababa resolved to boost the number of troops from about 5000 to 20,000.
There is no comment from either side.
