Reports from the south western suburb of Somali capital Mogadishu say that 12 civilians killed and many more injured after road side bomb hit civilian minibus.

The blast on Thursday in Lafole, which is around 20 kms west of Mogadishu, struck as the bus was passing by. There was no immediate claim of responsibility.

The explosion which is thought planted by Shabab militants to target government officials and AMISOM convoys was said exploded accidently while the minibus which traveled from Mogadishu was passing where it was hidden
Somali news agency reported that a father and his two children were among the killed civilians.

Somali Interior security blamed Al-shabab for deliberate civilian killing.

Security analysts say that many civilians could be harmed this road by such explosion if failed deploying extra troops who patrol the whole road- from Mogadishu to Afgoye town

The explosion comes less than a week after an attack on a hotel by the al-Shabab armed group in Mogadishu killed at least 15 people.
