Mogadishu (Alshahid) – World Food Program has said that it will continue providing food aid to the Somali people who need their help.
In a statement broadcasted by Somali radios on Sunday night the spokesperson for WFP Mr. Peter Somerton said that WFP will continue giving the food aid to the internally displaced Somalis who are in need of that help. Mr. Somerton added that WFP will use any means possible to deliver the aid to the millions of Somalis who are displaced from their homes by the continued fighting in their country and WFP will consider the group that controls the area where the IDPs are living.

It is not clear whether WFP will ignore the ban imposed on their operations in Somalia by Alshabab, who vowed to punish any person who is seeing working with WFP in Somalia.
