Relative calm returns to Mogadishu
Mogadishu (Alshahid) – Relative calm is reported to have returned to areas in northern Mogadishu where Somali government troops clashed on Friday.
At least 15 people have been killed while nearly twenty others were wounded on Friday’s clashes.
Heavy bombardment on Behani junction and other districts in northern Mogadishu left heavy losses .The shelling reportedly came after insurgents attacked African union bases in the capital.
Residents started fleeing the capital in the face expected major government offensive on the opposition held areas of the capital.
