Parliament Speaker Visits Important Local Building in Mogadishu, Calls to Rebuild

Mogadishu (Alshahid) – Sheik Aden Mohamed Nor (Madobe), the speaker of the transitional parliamentarians of Somalia have Monday visited at Guriga Umadda (house of people), an important Somali building in the areas under the control of the transitional government in Mogadishu and called for the people to rebuild it soon as possible.

Guriga Umadda, was a well-known house for the Somali people in the period of the former Somali government led by the ousted Somali president Mohamed Siad Barre, but collapsed since then Barre’s government was overthrown in 1991.

Sheik Aden Madobe urged all the Somali people, community, businessmen to take part its rebuilding which is currently going on pointing out the house would be the real centre for the Somali parliament in the capital.

The speaker also suggested for the international community to put pressure on playing crucial role for rebuilding Umadda building and whole the other collapsed buildings of the Somali government centers in Mogadishu so as to continue their duties.
