Elasha (Alshahid) – One of the fighters of the Islamist rebel group of Hizbul Islam has shot dead a civilian man in Elasha village out of the Somali capital Mogadishu.

The fighter is said to have killed the civilian as the group were conducting operation in the area on Monday.

It is reported that the fighter and the deceased had an argument and soon after shooting the civilian, the armed rebel fighter fled.

Officials of the group have said that they will investigate the matter.

About three months ago, a doctor was killed by same group for defying smoking orders.
Investigation was carried out by the group and the fighter who shot the doctor was also sentenced to death in accordance with the Islamic Sharia.
