Cape Town (Alshahid) -The men were shot in the head while they were delivering groceries to their shops.

They died on the scene in Red Bay Street.

The criminals fled with a bakkie full of groceries and an undisclosed amount of cash.

A witness, Buyiswa Gaji, said: “I was going to the shop when I heard gunshots. I saw a bakkie with two men going down the street at high speed.

“Two men had been shot – one died immediately while the other died shortly afterwards.”

Brian Mohammed, cousin of one of the slain men and friend of the other victim, said: “I feel bad … it’s painful to lose my cousin like this.”

He said when people arrived on the scene the “police chased us away. They didn’t allow us to get closer, so we don’t know how many times they were shot”.

Police spokesperson André Traut confirmed the incident (Sowetan)
