BurundiMogadishu (Alshahid)—the rebel factions in Somalia have attacked the Burundian troops base in Mogadishu on Monday.

The rebels attacked Jalle Siad Academy, abase of the Burundian peacekeepers in the capital Mogadishu. The heavy gunfire which the two sides exchanged frightened the civilians in the area and those planning to shop in Bakaro market in Mogadishu.

The clashes sparked in KPP neighborhood and areas surround it and the sound of gunfire could be heard.

It is not known the casualties of the fighting. The rebels do not often attack the base of the Burundian troops which is very near to the areas controlled by them, but instead they regularly attack the bases of the Somali government soldiers.
