Kenyan Rudisha named World Athlete of the Year
IAAF (Alshahid) -The Kenyan 800-meter runner David Rudisha and the Croatian high jumper Blanka Vlasic have won the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) World Athlete of the Year awards.
The 21-year-old Rudisha became the youngest athlete to win the award after breaking Wilson Kipketer’s 13-year-old world record twice within eight days in August.
Rudisha succeeds Jamaican Usain Bolt in the coveted title that attracts more than Ksh. 20 M cash award.
