Four government soldiers wounded in Beledweyne town

BaladweyneBeledweyne (Alshahid) — At least four government soldiers have been wounded in a bomb explosion attacked to a house of former mayor of Beledweyne town in Hiraan region in central Somalia, witnesses said on Monday.

Residents said the bomb was thrown to the house of former Beledweyne Mayor Aden Abdi Garase and four of his security guards were injured.

The wounded soldiers have been taken to Beledwyne Hospital where they are being treated. Witnesses said the government soldiers opened fire after the blast, but no other one has been reportedly hurt in the gun fire.

No group has claimed the responsibility of the attack yet. Beledweyne, a strategic town in central Somalia is near the Somali-Ethiopian border.

The insurgent rebels fighting against the government control part of the city and clashes had erupted between the government soldiers and the Insurgents for several times.
